Montana State Mandatory Reporting Laws (Webinar)

During this webinar, Shannon McDonald and Liz Johnson will provide an overview of Montana’s child abuse mandatory reporting laws and provide state specific sample scenarios in the context of Title X Family Planning clinics. Ms. McDonald will also discuss the appropriate actions to take if abuse is suspected.
Department of Publich Health and Human Services Attorney
Ms. McDonald is an attorney with the MT Department of Public Health and Human Services. Ms. McDonald graduated from Duke law school in 2000, has worked as clerk for the Montana Supreme Court, and has been with the Department since 1997.
Liz Johnson, APRN
Nurse Consultant for the Women's and Men's Health Section at the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services
Ms. Johnson is the Nurse Consultant for the Women’s and Men’s Health Section at the MT Department of Public Health and Human services. Ms. Johnson is a certified nurse practitioner in Women’s Health. In addition to her duties with the state, she continues to work part-time as a clinician in a Title X Family Planning clinic. Liz has served as the MT Diabetes program manager and the Outpatient Project Coordinator for the Mountain-Pacific Quality Health Foundation.
